Interest Grows in Vodra Token as March Launch Approaches — New Project Plans To Disrupt Social Media Monetization
A new blockchain project is offering content creators a share in their new token to be used on their decentralized donation platform.
Vodra is a new donation platform and ERC20 token launching this March which is designed to better compensate content creators through a new and innovative digital ecosystem. Content creators are able to redeem the size of their social media audiences and receive VDR tokens in exchange. These tokens can then be used on the Vodra Platform which will enable users to donate with no platform fees, schedule monthly pledges, vote on and fund upcoming projects and browse creator profiles.
With Vodra, there is a new and unprecedented way for content creators, their audiences and any others who believe in free and open media to benefit from the growth of the platform.
What makes the Vodra project unique and so disruptive is a combination of it’s unique redemption method and it’s ability to offer donations without platform fees. For reference, Twitch takes up to 45% with their Twitch Bits and platforms such as Patreon and Kickstarter take anywhere from 5–12%. By introducing the ability to send creators their usual donations and subscriptions with no platform fees, there is no doubt Vodra will be a favourite among Twitch streamers and other content creators.
In a statement the Co-Founder and Technical Lead Zachary Bys remarked:
“We are working on a number of integrations and features so that Vodra Tokens can be sent just like a regular Twitch donation would be. Our goal has been to create a clear incentive for both audiences and creators to use our token.”
Vodra has also disclosed a number of partnerships with professional E-Sports players and tournament providers. There is a clear opportunity here for Vodra to become used for E-Sports betting and other transactions. Vodra is currently being endorsed by a number of popular streamers who will undoubtedly be requesting to be apart of the Vodra ecosystem once they launch.
Praise and attention from public figures is bound to bring large amounts of exposure to what has been a relatively quiet development process. While the Vodra Team posts the occasional update from time to time they noted in an interview that most of their resources are being focused on development.
